This month, in the storied city of Beverly Hills, design enthusiasts will flock to the Maison de Luxe show house at the historic Greystone estate to see the inspiring work of 26-nationally recognized designers. Luxe Interiors + Design as well as the City of Beverly Hills and The Friends of the Greystone have orchestrated this event at the famous 46,000 square-foot mansion. The Greystone's memoir is reminiscent of a Hollywood thriller, full of opulence and grandeur, drama and smoke screens, scandal and mystery. More recently, the estate has become a sought-after, majestic backdrop for numerous movies, TV shows and music videos. (Rumors of ghosts at the Greystone are still a wildly popular topic in conversations about the estate too.)

Ken Follett was in Atlanta in 2010 to give a lecture on his latest novel at the time. I have always loved his historical novels, but my all-time favorite definitely is Pillars of the Earth, which tells the story of a stonemason back in the Middle Ages.
